Felons Barrel Hall presents a Motown Christmas Funk & Soul Revue.
Asabi Goodman is a classic powerhouse soul sista born in Ohio via Oklahoma and Cali in the U S of A - the original home of funk ’n' soul. At age 8 she began performing in soul choirs and has gone on to sing in various groups from Aretha Franklin covers to Blues Brothers tribute groups. She’ll be belting out some classic motown, funk and soul hits backed by local funk combo Kerbside Collection in extended funk orchestra mode taking you on a funky Motown and New Orleans sleigh ride through the golden era of 50s, 60s, and 70s rhythm and blues!
Kerbside Collection have made a funky splash over the past decade with their recent 4th album generating warm worldwide support from the UK to Japan! They've shared and warmed up stages for The Kashmere Stage Band (US), Cookin’ on 3 Burners (Melb), Russ Dewburry (Jazz Rooms/UK), Craig Charles (BBC radio/UK) and Japan’s finest funk outfit Osaka Monaural. They lay out the funky red carpet of dynamite grooves for soul brother Chang Po Ching to light up the bandstand!
