🌙 We're having a weeknight contra dance!! 🌟
See you THURSDAY, Aug 13, 2026
Dancing 7-9 pm
Contra Dancing Is easy to learn, mistake friendly, and you don't need to bring a partner! Though your life partner, roommate, colleague, barista, or sister's best friend's cousin are all welcome to join us. We switch out partners throughout the evening; you'll make a few new friends.

*Doors open at 6:30
👋BEGINNER LESSON at 6:45.
*Be ready to dance at 7 (It's a school night so we're starting on time for a two- hour dance)
*Location: First Lutheran Church, Houston
1311 Holman St
Houston, TX 77004
*Bring a water bottle or cup - We'll have iced tap water and you'll likely wavy a refill before the end of the night.
📣 ALL DANCES TAUGHT - Chris Broad will be calling/ teaching every dance
🎻 LIVE MUSIC - HMH Music Co will get your very stomping and your body moving
*Dress comfortably! Skirts and dresses are fun to twirl in, but you'll also see dancers wearing jeans/shorts and a T-shirt. You will get a cardio workout, how intense is up to you! We recommend smooth bottom, short/no heel shoes. Athletic shoes are fine, but can sometimes stick to the floor and twist a knee. Some people dance barefoot!
