On Monday, June 23, 2025, join a room full of local entrepreneurs, professionals and business leaders for another all‑inclusive Monday night business networking dinner event at the award‑winning Thai Satay Restaurant (265 Grand Ave, South San Francisco). For decades, Sidney Silberberg & John Tam’s dinner club has brought people together over a single, affordable multi-course prix fixe meal at award-winning Bay Area restaurants where real relationships start at the table; we’re returning to Thai Satay—one of our most popular venues—because Chef Boonkird “Boon” Pankaew and his team consistently deliver a warm welcome, generous hospitality, and the kind of flavorful cooking that keeps the room buzzing.
Recent dinners organized by John Tam have typically drawn close to a hundred local professionals, and Thai Satay’s reputation speaks for itself- voted Best Thai Restaurant in San Mateo County eight years running.
Your $30 all‑inclusive (tax and tip included) payment at entry covers your entire evening. Networking begins at 6:00 PM, so bring business cards and flyers; dinner is served promptly at 7:00 PM. Every guest is offered the option to take up to three minutes on the mic to introduce their business, service, or cause- an easy, low‑pressure way to make meaningful connections in the room.
For the price of just a single entree, Chef Boon is generously curating an exclusive six‑course signature buffet menu inspired by his decades of experience in authentic Thai cookery:
1. Gai Satay -Tender slices of turmeric‑coconut marinated chicken, hand‑skewered and charcoal‑grilled in the classic Thai Satay style. Served with velvety roasted‑peanut sauce and crisp ajad cucumber relish.
2. Poh Pia Tod Gai – Golden, bite‑sized crispy rolls stuffed with seasoned chicken, glass noodles, and garden vegetables. Fried to a delicate crunch and paired with a house sweet‑and‑sour dipping sauce prepared fresh daily.
3. Pad Thai Goong Sod – A Thai staple elevated with wok‑seared prawns, rice noodles, tamarind essence, palm sugar, scallions, bean sprouts, and crushed peanuts. Balanced sweet‑savory flavors- one of the restaurant’s most loved dishes.
4. Gaeng Karee Gai – A mellow southern‑Thai curry featuring tender chicken simmered in coconut milk, yellow curry paste, potatoes, and onions. Mild, fragrant, and deeply comforting-add your own spice level.
5. Pad Kra Prao Moo –A vibrant street‑food classic. Chopped pork wok‑fried with Thai holy basil, garlic, fresh chilies, and a savory brown sauce that delivers both aroma and heat. An authentic Bangkok‑style staple.
6. Khao Suay – Steamed Jasmine Rice
Fluffy, fragrant jasmine rice—Thailand’s signature grain and the essential companion to every curry, stir‑fry, or grilled dish.
7. Khao Niew Mamuang Dessert- the season’s sweetest mango over warm coconut‑infused sticky rice, finished with a ribbon of salted coconut cream.
All dishes are prepared mild but a curated selection of essential Thai spices & condiments are available upon request
1. Prik Nam Pla – Fresh chilies in fish sauce for salty, spicy depth.
2. Prik Pon – Ground Thai chili powder for adjustable heat.
3. Nam Som Prik Dong – Vinegar‑pickled chilies adding bright acidity.
4. Crushed Peanuts – Adds aroma and nuttiness to noodles and salads.
